Masterplan and Nature Museum for Karlskron, Sweden

The proposed masterplan for Karlskrona aims to connect previously isolated areas where no urban planning had been implemented, resulting in random constructions and poor communication between zones. The project addresses this by creating a central focal point with a natural museum and an artificial lake, serving as key elements of the layout. One of the challenges of the site was the significant difference in elevation levels. To address this, the design includes a museum that allows pedestrians to walk along its roof, descending from the upper to the lower level without entering the building. Inside the museum, the exhibition follows a spiraling route, both ascending and descending, as the interior is organized into a series of stepped spaces connected by ramps. This layout allows for a seamless flow through the exhibits.
